Welcome back! Our first meeting of the spring semester will be Wednesday, January 25 at 8 pm in Taylor C.

We’ll be planning the semester and discussing upcoming events as well as electing a secretary and a publicity chair for this semester. If you’re interested in either position, come to the meeting prepared to very briefly discuss your interest in the position. If you have any questions, email Karen (kleitner@brynmawr.edu) or Kayla (kmcdaniel@brynmawr.edu).

On Thursday, January 26, Emily Reuman will be teaching us how to design a successful campaign. The workshop will be held in Dalton 300 from 7-9 pm.

garden workday Friday Dec 9!

Join us at 10 am this Friday, December 9, for a garden workday. We’ll be doing some very light work–come enjoy the garden!

Minutes 2011 November 16

Please show up to meetings whenever you can–the more we are as a body the more effective we can be!

We also had a guest from Haverford, Leora (hey Leora!) so we can maybe get support from Haverford, exchange ideas, expand our horizons etc (You can also bring friends who are interested! We love having new ideas and aspects)

FUN VIDEO, SHARE ON FACEBOOK IF YOU CAN

We summarized what happened at Climate Changed Conference.
If you want to watch YERT individually contact Maggie Zelonis.

COMPOSTING STARTED–We completed our second day, it is going really well. Everybody is doing it on their own, and not complaining. LAST DAY IS FRIDAY, COME HELP US. Sign up by emailing Karen kleitner@bmc

November 21st (Monday) we are trying to organize a bus to take people to Delaware, to vote on fracking. We assume that fracking is happening, but at least we get to have a say on taxing, and chemicals that will be used etc. TELL YOUR FRIENDS. This is our water; those chemicals will be affecting us.

Sustainability Position Plan:
Have different groups with different aspects that support hiring of a Bi-Co/BMC sustainability Coordinator write a letter in support of the hiring. We will send a letter to departments, clubs etc to sign in order to be convincing.
